About Dr. Jim Ault

Dr. Jim Ault. He is a sociologist and documentary filmmaker whose father was United Methodist pastor, then bishop heading its General Board of Global Ministries. Jim began his career as a student of African society and politics, living and doing research on two occasions in Zambia, before turning his studies to American politics and making his first film "Life in a Fundamentalist Baptist Church" (a national prime-time special on PBS in 1987).  He is just completing a two-part series on African Christianity shot in Ghana and Zimbabwe and a proposal to Oxford UP for a book that will have links to pieces of the more than 300 hours of video shot for that project embedded in its text.

Also, you can get tastes of the African Christianity films at vimeo.com/channels/57182, and there will be more at his web site.
